Downhill skiing
Alpine skiing is an energy-intensive sport. This is not only due to the intensity of the sport, but also to the metabolic adaptation required in the high mountains, at low temperatures. Skiing also requires a lot of effort not directly related to exercise, such as transporting equipment.
It is no coincidence that the mountain diet includes desserts rich in chocolate or cream, animal meat and fats such as butter. Skiing is divided into several downhill disciplines: slalom, giant slalom, free and cross-country.
